Who Are We?

Support Connect and Empowerment Passport are united by a shared vision: a future where neurodiversity, disability, and individual difference are recognised as strengths—not barriers. Our collaboration champions inclusion, empowerment, and equal opportunity by providing meaningful tools and support for people navigating education, employment, and life.

Support Connect

Support Connect was formed from the legacy of WSDAC, an organisation that once specialised in assessments and learner support through the Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA). Building on that foundation, Support Connect now works nationwide with training providers and higher education institutions to offer specialist support for neurodiverse apprentices and students.

Support Connects services span three core areas:

  • Specialist Learning Mentoring
  • Wellbeing Mentoring
  • Assistive Technology Training

All of this is delivered through EAS and ESFA government funding, meaning it comes at no cost to apprentices and is fully claimable by education providers. Our expert team is committed to working flexibly and personally with each learner to help them overcome barriers and thrive.

We believe that every apprentice should have the chance to succeed on their own terms. By simplifying access to additional learning support, we equip individuals with the tools, skills and confidence they need to navigate their training journey and beyond. Inclusion isn’t just a value—it’s the foundation of everything we do.

Empowerment Passport

The Empowerment Passport is an award-winning digital platform that enables individuals to clearly express their adjustment needs in education, employment, and healthcare settings. It empowers people with long-term health conditions, disabilities, or access needs to take ownership of their journey with confidence and dignity.

The Passport is built around four key domains—Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, and Social. In each section, individuals can reflect on their strengths, challenges and practical support needs. Prompted guidance, editable notes and sample language help shape a personalised, dynamic document that can be shared when needed.

Whether building from scratch or refining over time, users can update and maintain their Passport at their own pace, ensuring their voice is always heard and respected in the spaces that matter most.

Navigating support systems can be repetitive and overwhelming. The Empowerment Passport streamlines this process by:

  • Helping you communicate your support needs with clarity and confidence.
  • Equipping employers and educators to understand what inclusion looks like for you.
  • Reducing the need to explain your story repeatedly to multiple services.
  • Providing a secure place to store essential documents like reports and action plans.

It’s more than a tool—it’s a step toward independence, equality and self-advocacy.
